You use the whole file due to the presence of slots that allow you to move the file until it is fully worn. Sidewall Remover has a double clamp: long (innovative) clamp that allows you a more stable grip and a short (traditional) one.
Use it together with the Sidewall Finisher to complete the ski preparation.
